Competition in any given field of work can be fierce, but some people are finding a competitive edge down a much less traditional road. They are using hypnosis and hypnotherapy to give them more ambition, motivation, and confidence to succeed at work.

There are many different stages that one goes through during the course of their career. Sometimes people jump from one job to another in search of work that is satisfying and fulfills their personal goals. At other times, people may find themselves in an industry they love, but they just don’t have what it takes to progress. It is these same types of people that can benefit the most from hypnosis as a career strategy.

Aside from having the right kind of training and skills, there are other obstacles –internal ones — that keep many from doing what they love. These include shyness, lack of confidence, low ambition, fear of rejection, low energy, lack of concentration or focus, fear of public speaking and lack of sales skills.

All of these “conditions” or phobias have to do with a feeling or impression. It is a mental image people have of themselves, that is often unfounded. Hypnosis is especially effective in changing these thought patterns that interfere with career advancement. For example, when someone has no ambition, it is often because he or she doesn’t understand or see the reward of going after something important that will benefit them. Hypnosis addresses negative feelings, fears and suppressed, preconceived ideas and replaces them with positive reinforcement.

Past newsletter articles have talked about the hypnosis process that leads one through the steps to change. It all starts with a relaxation process called induction. Next the relaxed feeling is increased in the deepening stage. The script is now ready to be introduced. This is the heart of hypnosis and where the negative thoughts are replaced with positive thoughts that will lead to action. An amnesia stage is next and it allows the hypnotized person to forget on a conscious level what they were told so that the subconscious mind can embrace the message without analytical interference. Finally, the trance is terminated and the hypnosis session ends.

Let’s look at the process using the fear of rejection scenario. Once the person has gone through the induction and deepening stages of hypnosis the script would then instruct them that they have a great deal to contribute to the workplace and the that the opportunities are there for them to seize. If they are passed by for the promotion or new job, it is okay. A better opportunity is waiting. If you do not try for the new job you will never know what might have been and may regret missing the opportunity. This kind of dialog gives encouragement about trying and the message that even if rejection happens, it is not the end of the world. The essential part is to try.

Hypnotherapy or self-hypnosis are both effective in implementing new ideas about career advancement. The significant aspect is that these mental obstacles to success can be overcome through hypnosis.

As a hypnotherapist, I have always found that one key element in making my free hypnosis induction scripts sound great when they are delivered is the quality of the background music. It can really set the theme of relaxation, and even if after seeing a client, I use hypnotic patter that is focused to the client, the music will sometimes be the same. This reminds the mind of the hypnotic client of what it is expected to do- that is, it is time to relax.

The audios can be downloaded and saved to your computer. This means that you can use them at any time that suits you, by either listening on your computer or by adding the file to you I-pod or MP3 player. You could even request the file on CD or if it is easier for you to do so, you can burn the audio onto CD yourself.

The quality of the audio’s is quite simply fully professional. You can buy the audio scripts and see what is included in them. And if the audio you require is not listed, simply contact the team and they will put together the hypnosis induction script of your choice.

Obviously when listening to a hypnotic audio it is essential to do so in as peaceful an environment as possible. You should never listen to the hypnotherapy mp3s whilst driving operating machinery as this would be dangerous. However, at peaceful and appropriate times the hypnosis induction audios are perfectly safe to use. It is not known what level of trance you will go into a trance, but you will remain safe and alerted to anything that needs your immediate attention. There is also a message at the end of the audio that ensures you will be fully and completely wide awake and back to your normal everyday state, except perhaps feeling more refreshed and relaxed than before, with those subtle positive changes beginning to happen, even at a cellular level.

I personally like to use my hypnosis audios, in a quite house, whilst laying back in a comfortable chair, but it doesn’t have to be this way. You can be in a trance on a train on your way to work, you can be in a trance when on your lunch break in your office you can even be standing up and in a trance. What really matter is that you are able to concentrate. In fact, someone once told me that there are just 3 skills required to create trance in any human being. Concentration, Imagination and cooperation. So if you know that you possess these skills and you enjoy relaxation, there is a very strong possibility that you will go into a hypnotic trance state and begin to improve your health and well-being.

These Twelve steps to hypnotic mind power are intended to build positive visuals, acquire mind power and help you achieve your dreams and desires that may be as varied as improving your personality, increasing your wealth, attracting love and making yourself attractive.

Follow these steps I have specifically found to help anyone who is new to Power of Creative Visualization.

Step One: Choose a quiet place, which is free from all distraction, interruption or disturbance. This may even be inside a bus or in your own room. The idea is to be able to concentrate in any environment that you find is suitable. The ideal is to be able to concentrate in any environment that you find is suitable. The ideal time, however, I have found to be is, early in the morning or before going to bed. The ideal place however, may be anywhere as long as you can concentrate.

Step Two: Feel comfortable. Wear loose clothes or else loosen your belt and tie.

Step Three: Be comfortable. Keep your spine straight. Loosen your hands. Relax! This eases your body tension and helps your blood circulate efficiently.

Step Four: Close your eyes. That way your physical world does not interrupt you and you can concentrate on your mental world. But avoid quenching your eyes. Close them gently. In fact, once you focus on your images, you may find your eyes closing naturally.

Step Five: Breathe normally. Let your body roll with the rhythm of your breathing. Listen to that rhythm.

Step Six: Now begin the process of visualization. Create the key images of the subject you have chosen. Form the shape. Add color. Build the sound. Sense them! Focus on them. See them as sharply and clearly as you can with your mind’s eye.

Step Seven: Put yourself in the images you have created. You must be inside the picture so as to let your subconscious mind know that the image you see that leads to your goal is actually meant for you, and not for anyone else.

Step Eight: Feel the image you have created. Now that you are inside the picture imagine yourself to be leading the time you see. Feel the environment. Watch how different it feels to lead a life that you had desired. Bring your images alive.

Step Nine: Experience the images with all your emotions. See! Hear! Smell! Feel how it feels to have achieved your goals. Let the excitement and happiness of success flow through you. Let the thrill of success build in you. Feel your success.

Step Ten: Once you have experienced your images with emotion, let your mind go blank. If you hold on to your images for too long, the images might disappear due to overexposure. So, let go of it.

Step Eleven: Create a space in your mind to receive what you desire. Say to yourself that what you desire – like, “I deserve to be healthy”, “I deserve to be rich and famous.” By doing this, you not only let your subconscious mind support the picture, you literally achieve your success.

Step Twelve: Feel creative while creating the images. I have given you the basic guidelines in the following pages to create visuals that will help you achieve your goals. You may change them accordingly to suit your needs. The more the images meet your specific needs, the more effective they will be.

These then are the twelve important steps to mind-power. Remember, it is better to visualize 2-3 times a day for a shorter duration than to visualize for a long stretch during the day. Doing this, the quality of visuals remain fresh instead of becoming stale and plaid and draining all energy out of you.

Steps one to ten might take you anything between 5-10 minutes. It is better if you do not prolong it. Instead, repeat it at another time of the day.

When you release the image after this brief exercise, your mind will become free of the mind-power you had activated. But your subconscious mind keeps on supporting the image you had seen. This helps your goal and your dreams to be a reality.

The twelve steps to Hypnotic Mind power that I have explained above is the most powerful tool in this world. When you switch on your mind power and extend it to creative visualization for turning your dreams into reality – then, that is exactly what will happen. Your dreams will become reality.

Remember, with your mind you can rule the world.

For the last few decades, many people have turned to hypnosis and hypnotherapy to help them in all number of different ways, from uncovering and resolving hidden issues from the past to extreme behavior modification. Hypnotherapy has been used with great success in helping people quit smoking, build self-esteem, and learn new subjects and skills. It’s no wonder people are turning now to hypnosis to also help them lose weight.

Does it work? For some. Hypnosis works on the unconscious mind through the power of suggestion, and the effectiveness with which a person can be hypnotized depends on how receptive the subject is to the experience. Put another way, hypnosis works best for people who come at it with an “open mind”.

How does hypnosis help a person lose weight? The same way it helps modify any behavior, by targeting your habits. It is one’s habits that lead to excessive weight gain and obesity, and it’s a change in those habits, replacing old “bad” ones with new “good” ones, that produce the kind of changes that can be sustained.

To build new, desirable, and sustainable habits, you must break down all your old associations regarding yourself, your weight, your appearance, food and eating, exercise, etc. and build new, positive and desirable associations. This is where hypnosis can be of tremendous aid.

In a hypnotic state, you can more easily overcome those unconscious obstacles that hinder your weight loss efforts. Most people already know full well that proper diet and exercise is the way to lose weight, and yet so many find themselves helpless to do what they know they “should” be doing.

What causes that is usually an unconscious association from our pasts that we’ve habituated in our everyday lives. These associations become so much a part of us we don’t ever think about them, much less question them. But when we remove our conscious mind from the equation, we’re more easily able to access those deep-seeded assumptions and reprogram them.

A person who continually struggles with diet and exercise programs, jumping from one to another as each in turn proves increasingly fruitless is most likely unconsciously resisting their own aims. As long as this condition remains, every attempt this person makes at weight loss will be equally counterproductive.

Losing weight is a state of mind. A person must be willing to lose weight to lose it – not simply be willing to diet and exercise, but deep down willing to lose weight. Success depends on a winning attitude on an unconscious level that permeates everything you do, whatever you do.

Hypnosis can help you build a new self-image, allowing you to envision yourself at your future weight. Hypnosis can help approach your weight and weight-loss program from am ore relaxed and stress-free perspective. Hypnosis can help build your optimism, enthusiasm and (most importantly) self-esteem for the task. And hypnosis can help you experience some of the benefits of living at your ideal weight here and now, in the present, even whilst you live in the body in which you currently live.

The key to having a successful experience using hypnosis to lose weight is realizing that hypnosis alone won’t do it. No amount of hypnosis can replace a healthy and balanced diet and an active lifestyle with a blend of aerobic and anaerobic exercise. Nothing can replace these cornerstones of maintaining a healthy weight, but hypnotherapy can certainly make adopting these new habits easier and more pleasurable, as it can put you in the right frame of mind to reap the benefits of all you do to get your weight loss goals met.

Asthma is a chronic situation that affects the respiratory system. During the course of an asthma attack, airways, which carry oxygen to and out of the lungs, tend to tighten and hence decrease the flow of oxygen coming to the lungs. The airways also become swollen and lined up with mucus. Such symptoms can happen many times a day or week, or a lot less often. The gravity of the attacks also differs.

Various triggers may cause asthma attacks and the breathlessness that accompanies it. Asthma may also cause chest pain and loss of consciousness. It is a very serious disease that can at times prove to be deadly: while 300 million folks suffer from asthma around the world, asthma attacks account for the death of an estimated 250,000 folks on a yearly basis.

People who suffer from asthma also suffer from its side effects in their everyday life. Sleeplessness is a regular experience which may result in fatigue during the daytime, and may have a negative impact on one’s personal and professional life. The World Health Organization even acknowledges the fact that “reduced activity levels” along with “school and work absenteeism” are common side effects of asthma. Sports will usually be more difficult for people with asthma, which can for instance be a factor of social isolation for a child.

If asthma cannot be definitely cured, there are different ways to prevent and relieve the symptoms, making it possible for everybody that has asthma to exercise, stay in shape and have a normal life. With the proper treatments, there are no reasons why anybody with asthma should not be able to enjoy an active life.

Several factors can trigger an asthma attack. Some are very basic things like the humidity and temperature of the air. However, the most common ones are natural environmental allergens, such as pollen, spores, house dust mites or cockroaches as well as pollution from cars, tobacco smoke or chemical compounds, such as the ones found in perfumes and perfumed products. Medications such as aspirin or penicillin as well as several foods, such as peanuts or milk, in case of food allergies, can also trigger asthma. Asthma attack can also happen after exercising.

Your psychological state could also be a contributing factor in triggering an asthmatic attack. Tension, anxiety and emotional stress can all trigger it. A lot of people suffering from an asthmatic attack also worsen their condition by falling prey to state of panic, an absolutely normal reaction to the dreadful experience they have to live through.

In order to better control asthmatic attacks, those triggers ought to be avoided as much as possible. Allergies are also responsible for triggering asthma attacks and allergy treatment may be used as a way to prevent them. There are however several sorts of asthma treatment. In the short-run, asthma attack treatment will provide relief in the case of an asthmatic attack. Asthma attack treatment will readily provide asthma relief, but individuals suffering from mild or severe asthma must use a long-run asthma treatment.

You may find various sorts of bronchial asthma treatment available out there, but some might not work out for you. Bronchial asthma treatment as well as allergy treatment also have many side effects if used regularly and for an extended period of time, especially drugs containing corticosteroids or Beta2-adrenergic receptor agonist, the latter having cardiac side effects and increasing the risk of respiratory death. These problems might explain why roughly fifty percent of the people with asthma use some kind of alternative treatment, such as natural asthma treatment.

Even if almost no evidence proves the effectiveness of therapies such as air ionizers or chiropractic, other sorts of natural asthma treatments such as homeopathy, yoga practices and hypnosis have shown significant results as asthma treatment. Hypnosis, just like meditation or yoga, but in a much faster and easier fashion, provides asthma relief because it can help handle the psychological aspect of asthma through relaxation. With hypnosis you will become much more relaxed, which can help prevent asthmatic attacks. It will also make you able to better handle the panic and fear during an attack, hence greatly reducing the symptoms. Most asthmatics are completely aware when an attack is imminent, and specific hypnotherapy techniques exist which enable the asthmatic to stop an impending attack.

Asthma is a grave respiratory condition, which can prove very disabling and sometimes even deadly. Drugs can help you with the physical symptoms and can provide quick relief in the case of an attack. However these drugs have many negative side effects, particularly if used too often. Hypnotherapy and NLP will decrease your need for drugs. It is also an effective asthma treatment and asthma attack treatment and may help you prevent the occurrences of asthmatic symptoms.

So few people realize that there is a deep and hidden connection between hypnosis and a business venture’s chance of success. Whilst the link might not be apparent, it is however, an integral component of every single successful business venture throughout history.

You may think that hypnotherapy, self-hypnosis and hypnosis in general is only used in treating psychological problems like fear and such, but it can actually be used to help your business flourish. How?

Imagine that you have a great idea for a business and it may take a lot of planning to achieve it. Unless you have infinite patience and already have a set plan to put in motion, then get ready for a pretty big headache. Getting a business off the ground and up and running takes a lot of doing and without the help of certain mind setting techniques, you may very well give up on this plan before you are halfway through it.

The first step to getting your business successfully on-track is to have the proper mindset for it. Picturing yourself achieving your goal of having that business idea of yours becoming a reality and flourishing can do wonders for your plans. Visualization is a self-hypnosis trick where you get yourself to believing that your business will be what it is and will look the way it will look once you are done with it.

When you visualize, you will have to set limitations to these dreams so that your plans and your visions are rooted to reality and you do not end up disappointing yourself in the end. This means that, yes, you may dream up an ideal scenario for your business development plans, but you have to make sure that these are not castles-in-the-air dreams that are highly improbable and would take a miracle to achieve. Dreaming about your inherent success coupled with hard work will get your business plans on track towards realization.

You also need to acclimatize your brain to the possible drawbacks that may emerge and to acclimatize yourself to the possible feelings of disappointment once these obstacles appear. If you have control over how you will feel once these problems emerge, you will not easily succumb to the need to give up should the going get tough. This will only serve to strengthen your resolve to see your project through no matter what.

Hypnotherapy, self-hypnosis and hypnosis can indeed play a positive role in your business development plans. Knowing how to use these tools in your future business ventures can be had with a little reading and research to better understand how you can self motivate yourself towards success.

With cigarette smoking banned in most restaurants and many other public places, deciding to quit smoking has also become quite a necessity at this point in history. Not to mention that it is definitely a smart thing to do for reasons that extend well beyond just having good health. This article shall explore the very best hypnosis and NLP methods that can be used to make it as painless as possible to break the addiction to cigarettes.

There are 3 individual parts to the addiction to smoking cigarettes. Two of the elements are mental, and only one part is physical.

Part A: YOU SMOKE FOR RELAXATION AND PLEASURE.

When you were an infant and you got restless, your mother would put a nipple into your mouth to pacify you. You would get distracted, become calmer, and often go to sleep. That scenario was repeated many, many times so that your unconscious mind was programmed: When something goes into your mouth, you get relaxation and pleasure from it.

Now that you are a grownup, if you feel anxious or tense, you crave something in your mouth for relaxation and pleasure – a smoke!

Part B: SMOKING IS A CONDITIONED RESPONSE.

Remember Pavlov? He rang a bell every time that he fed his dogs. After a few repetitions, all he had to do was to ring the bell, and that would trigger the dogs to salivate.

When you associate smoking with any other action, the other action will trigger cravings for a cigarette and an urge to light up a cigarette. This is called a conditioned response.

For example: If you smoke when you see someone else smoking, you will automatically get an urge to smoke each time you see someone else smoking.

Here is exactly how this conditioned response gets programmed into your unconscious: If a person smokes a cigarette and simultaneously drinks a cup of coffee, the mind takes a snapshot of the cigarette in the hand, and ties it to the cup of coffee. Thereafter, every time the person has a cup of coffee, his unconscious mind fills in the missing part of the picture. It flashes an image of a cigarette, and the smoker gets a craving for a cigarette.

You may be unaware of the mental picture of the cigarette, because it may only be at the unconscious level of mind. Just as you are unaware of what you are seeing through your peripheral vision until something or someone draws your attention to it. But the image is there, creating a craving for a cigarette.

Part C: THERE IS A PHYSICAL ADDICTION TO NICOTINE, HOWEVER…

I’ve worked face-to-face with several thousand smokers and I give you my guarantee that the physical addiction to tobacco is the weakest part of the smoking addiction. In fact, I believe that it is only ten percent of the addiction to tobacco. I believe that 90% of the addiction are the mental and emotional parts! (Parts A and B).

HERE IS WHAT THIS MEANS TO A SMOKER WHO WANTS TO QUIT.

When you eliminate the feeling of tension that pushes a smoker to smoke a cigarette to create relaxation and pleasure (Part A) . . . and when you erase the conditioned response of feeling compulsions for cigarettes when having a cup of coffee, driving, or finishing a meal, etc. (Part B) . . . then you can give up tobacco without needing willpower, and without having to suffer from withdrawal symptoms or weight-gain.

Hypnosis can help trigger a smoker to stop smoking. Hypnosis will make it easy to give up tobacco because it takes care of Parts A & B! Here is how:
Part A is where smokers light-up a cigarette for relaxation and pleasure. It’s your thoughts which create feelings of stress. More to the point, people persistently run mental movies in their mind’s eye. If the movie is negative, it causes a feeling of stress.

We can use different NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and Hypnosis methods to program the subconscious mind to quickly and easily take those stress producing mental images, and quickly exchange them for relaxation producing mental pictures and movies. This instills relaxation and pleasure, and eliminates the stress that triggers the oral urges and compulsions for a cigarette.

Because of the elimination of tension, the smoker who is quitting does not experience the compulsion or need to substitute food in place of the cigarettes. So quitting without weight gain is possible.

Part B is where smokers light-up because smoking becomes a conditioned response to many different activities and locations. Remember in the earlier example how smoking became unconsciously associated with other activities and environments so that each time you get into that activity or environment, the mind flashes an image of a cigarette, and the image of the cigarette triggers an urge to light-up?

There are stop smoking hypnosis, and quit smoking hypnosis techniques that can quickly eliminate those conditioned responses so that your subconscious will lose the cravings for cigarettes, and the compulsion to smoke. As a matter of fact, you can even get a compulsion to reject the cigarettes.

So What Does This Mean?

In summary, by using certain hypnotic methods, it becomes very easy to stop smoking without withdrawal or weight gain. And many of these methods do not even require post-hypnotic suggestions. They depend on programming the unconscious mind to use the same thought processes that the unconscious is using to create the addiction to cigarettes, to eliminate the mental addiction.

So many people consider life to be a crazy obstacle course that is chock full of bumps, hurdles and ditches that need to be navigated correctly before they can even be happy. In some ways they are right.

If you are a very goal-orientated person then it is inevitable that you will encounter obstacles on your way to achievement and success. The bigger the goal the more set-backs there seem to be. These obstacles and set-backs can act as tests. They test your character and your resolve. Each barrier that is overcome and each challenge that is met head on develops your character, belief in yourself and strengthens your resolve to succeed not matter what.

However, when the same obstacles keep showing up over and over again and failure seems to be a common occurrence it’s time to re-evaluate your approach to your goals. These recurring problems are an indication of your inability to learn from the temporary failures you are experiencing. The conscious mind is obviously having trouble analyzing the reasons behind the failures and keeps making the same mistakes.

At this point some outside help is needed. Obviously you are unable to consciously work through the trouble you are having and it must be a subconscious block that is preventing you from learning your lesson and moving forward. In such situations hypnosis and self hypnosis can be of immense vale. Either Hypnosis or Self Hypnosis can most definitely be used successfully and effectively to get to the root of the problem and eliminate it forever.

One extremely powerful benefit of using hypnosis is the ability to train your mind to stay focused on the successful attainment of your goal. You can program a specific outcome and retain the ability to consciously divert your attention to it in a positive, success-affirming manner. You can also eliminate self-sabotage and remove the negative feelings and thoughts that are blocking your path to success.

Here are some tips for using hypnosis as a goal achievement tool:

Visualize - Program yourself with your desired outcome. While under the influence of self hypnosis visually imagine that your goal is already accomplished and your objective has been reached. See it as real. See it through your own eyes and experience all the wonderful feelings associated with that goal attainment.

Persistence - Get down into your subconscious mind and change your inner character traits to match those people who NEVER give up. Program your subconscious mind to be persistent regardless of what is going on in any given situation. Post hypnotic suggestions to develop an iron will and persistent approach to your goals will be invaluable in times of stress and disillusionment.

Think Positive - Learn to think positively. The subconscious mind has a tendency to replay past memories and throw them back into consciousness in the form of doubts and fears. Through the use of self hypnosis you can totally eliminate them. Program your subconscious mind to think positively and expect positive results.

Program out the Problem - Inevitably some problem will arise when you pursue worthwhile goals. Through hypnosis you can solve these problems fairly rapidly. While in trance see yourself successfully traversing the obstacle. You don’t have to see how you did it, just see yourself at the other side, relieved, happy and proud that you “figured it out” and reached the other side. If this, in itself, is a problem for you, or you find it hard to do then seek the advice of a qualified hypnotherapist. A competent hypnotherapist will find the root of your problem probably in the fits consultation!

Pre-plan your path – Imagine yourself meeting the right people and being in the right place at the right time. Program your mind like this, through the power of hypnosis, and your subconscious mind will pick up on non-verbal clues, process the millions of bits of information you receive every second and guide you to the right course of action.

Develop faith in yourself – Use hypnosis to convince the subconscious mind that your goal is already a reality. “Fake it till you make it”. Fool your subconscious mind into believing the “real” world is actually exactly like the world you have been visualizing. In the deeply relaxed state that hypnosis offers you can get fully involved in your mental image. Really feel how great it is to have already accomplished all those things you wanted for so long. Enjoy the fact that you are enjoying the benefits of having reached that goal.

Follow these six steps and use them with the power of hypnosis and you will be catapulted towards your goal faster than you can imagine.
